Climb the UNESCO-listed Sigiriya Rock Fortress at sunrise for views across jungle plains and ancient gardens. Enjoy an optional village cycling experience through paddy fields, followed by an authentic Sri Lankan lunch with hands-on cooking and rural storytelling. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Explore the UNESCO-listed ancient city of Polonnaruwa by bicycle or tuk-tuk, visiting royal palaces, sacred temples, reservoirs, and stone-carved monuments with guided historical interpretation. Add an optional seasonal wildlife safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park (best July–October). Overnight in Sigiriya.

Spice Villages to Kandy

Drive inland to the cultural capital of Kandy through spice-growing villages, stopping for a hands-on Ayurveda and herbal experience along the way. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic during ceremonial hours. Overnight in a heritage-style stay in Kandy.

Explore the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, with its tropical avenues, orchids, and colonial-era landscapes. Choose from optional artisan experiences including cooking classes, batik workshops, or tea tasting, then enjoy an evening of traditional Kandyan drumming and dance. Overnight in Kandy.

Wind through waterfalls and emerald tea estates into Sri Lanka’s cool-climate tea country, visiting a working plantation and colonial-era factory with a guided tasting. Close the day with high tea overlooking Gregory Lake in a misty mountain setting. Overnight in a tea bungalow in Nuwara Eliya.

Horton Plains & Wellness

Set off at dawn for Horton Plains National Park, trekking through cloud forests and highland grasslands to World’s End and Baker’s Falls while spotting endemic wildlife. In the afternoon, unwind with a wellness retreat experience, spa therapy, or quiet fireside rest. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Travel by scenic route from Nanu Oya through tea-covered mountains to Ella, visiting the iconic Nine Arch Bridge surrounded by lush greenery. Optionally hike to Little Adam’s Peak at sunset for panoramic valley views, then relax into Ella’s slow mountain cafe culture. Overnight in Ella.

Ravana Falls & Elephant Transit Home

Drive south through waterfalls, rural villages, and shifting ecosystems toward Udawalawe, stopping at Ravana Falls along the way. Visit the Elephant Transit Home for an ethical wildlife conservation experience, then unwind at a wilderness safari lodge surrounded by natural soundscapes. Overnight in Udawalawe.

Udawalawe Safari to Galle

Join an early morning jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park, known for large elephant herds, birdlife, and open grassland landscapes. Continue to Sri Lanka’s southern colonial coastline for an evening exploring the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort’s cobbled streets and ocean-facing ramparts. Overnight in a colonial-style stay in Galle.

Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring Galle Fort or optional coastal wellness activities such as surfing, spa therapies, or beach walks, before a scenic transfer along the Southern Expressway to Bandaranaike International Airport for onward departure.
