Arrive in Colombo with airport pickup and transfer to Negombo. Ease into the trip with a relaxed beach afternoon or a walk along the Dutch Canal, setting a gentle pace before the trekking legs of the tour begin. Overnight in Negombo.
Transfer to the Knuckles Mountain Range, stopping at the Matale spice garden en route. Settle into a hillside lodge surrounded by forest, then take a sunset hike to a nearby viewpoint to preview the days of trekking ahead. Overnight in Knuckles.
Spend a full day on a guided hike through the Knuckles Range (best January–April and July–September), trekking cloud forests, tea trails, remote villages, and waterfalls with a picnic lunch in nature. Overnight in Knuckles.
Transfer to Kandy for an optional visit to the Temple of the Tooth, then walk around Kandy Lake and browse local markets. A gentler day built in to rest the legs before the Adam’s Peak climb ahead. Overnight in Kandy.
